What this image compressor does

Creator Helper Image Compressor reduces image file size directly in your browser. Upload a picture, choose a quality level, cap the max width, select a format hint, and export a new file. It is built for thumbnails, blog graphics, ecommerce images, social posts, and creator workflow drafts that need a smaller file before publishing.

Local-first security model

This page does not use a server upload, owner API key, user API key, or server key storage. Compression uses the browser Canvas API, then creates a temporary Blob URL for download. The file stays on your device unless you decide to upload the result somewhere else.

Format guide

Use WebP when the destination supports it and you want a smaller web image. Use JPG for broad platform compatibility, especially when transparency is not needed. Use PNG when transparency matters, but expect PNG output to ignore the quality slider because browser PNG encoding is lossless.

FAQ

Are images uploaded to Creator Helper?

No. The source image is decoded and compressed in this browser tab only.

What do quality and max width control?

Quality controls JPG/WebP encoding. Max width resizes oversized images while preserving the original aspect ratio.

Can it compress very large images?

This MVP caps input at 35 MB and canvas sides at 8192 px to avoid browser memory crashes.
